Realistic Medicine is the current theme that Scotland’s NHS is using to reform the way that health and care services are provided. My vision is that, in order to develop Realistic Medicine across the board, we harness the input of patients and the general public. As each patient is equipped with the ethos of Realistic Medicine at the start of their journey, they can bring this to each clinician they meet.
This is my personal blog, thinking about patients as agents for change and determiners of their own destiny. It is also about how clinicians can support patients in this endeavour.
